As well as photography, another of my interests is writing. In the past I put my energy into film scripts, but this year, inspired by a friend, I decided to start trying my hand more at prose fiction, starting with a few short stories for some horror anthologies that had open calls.
A few days ago I received the first print copy of one of those antholgies.
“Infected 2: Tales To Read Alone” contains my short story “Welfare Check”, set after an extended lockdown during a severe viral outbreak. Obviously the inspiration was taken from current events.
The proceeds from the sale of the anthology will go to the Save The Children Coronavirus Response charity. You can purchse a copy here.
A few more shorts are due to be published in upcoming anthologies, and I’ll post announcements about them as they’re released.
As well as fiction, I’ve also self-published several non-fiction books. I’m hesitant to say I’ve “written” these books, as they’re essentially compilations of old newspaper articles on various topics that take my interest, such as the Loch Ness Monster, and unsolved murders, etc.
I’ll discuss them further in a future post.
